On average, women spend close to a third of their lives after menopause. Dr Kimberley Elliott, a full member of the Australasian Menopause Society, leads this care, which all our GPs provide.

Symptoms range from minor and niggling to genuinely debilitating, and the right care depends on your symptoms, your history and what matters to you. We talk through hormonal and non-hormonal options with you, and go through the benefits and risks of each before anything is decided.
Your first consultation runs for 45 minutes, so there is time to cover all of that before we build a plan together. That might include exercise, diet, mindfulness, hormonal options or non-hormonal options.
Our GPs also provide assessment and treatment for weight gain during perimenopause and after menopause.
We start with your history, symptoms and goals, arrange any tests you need first (such as breast screening, bone density, cholesterol or hormone levels), and agree on a first plan.
We go through your results, weigh the risks and benefits, and decide together whether to start treatment.
We see you again, usually every three months, to review your symptoms and progress and adjust the plan as needed.
