EM Medical is a small, women-led practice on Auburn Street, with longer appointments as standard.

She wanted a practice where the doctors know their patients, and where each consultation has enough time to talk through what is going on. That is still how we work.
Our GPs cover the full range of general practice and share a focus on prevention, skin health, women's health and chronic conditions. The practice nurses and onsite pathology mean more happens in the one visit.
All our GPs provide the full range of general practice care, with their own areas of interest. If you are not sure which doctor to book with, call reception on (02) 4243 9211 and they will suggest one. See all doctors →

Dr Eliza Malkoun runs the skin clinic and the practice. She has a special interest in dermatology and holds a Dermatology Diploma and a Certificate of Dermoscopy.

Dr Kimberley Elliott leads perimenopause and menopause care at EM Medical, which all our GPs provide, and is a full member of the Australasian Menopause Society. She has worked in emergency medicine, geriatrics, rehabilitation and sexual health, and has trained in skin cancer medicine.

Dr Alexandra Sweeney did her internship and residency at Wollongong Hospital and her GP training in the Illawarra, becoming a Fellow of the RACGP in 2024. She sees patients of every age and background, with a focus on prevention and women's health.

Tess enjoys the breadth of general practice and managing complex and chronic health concerns. She also works in clinical research and the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying service.

Dr Eliza Malkoun holds a Dermatology Diploma and a Certificate of Dermoscopy, and Dr Kimberley Elliott holds a Certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine. Our doctors use dermoscopy to look closely at anything that has changed. We also treat everyday skin: seborrheic keratosis, sebaceous cysts, and rashes such as eczema and psoriasis. On average, women spend close to a third of their lives after menopause, and the symptoms range from minor to debilitating. We talk through hormonal and non-hormonal options and build a plan that fits you. More about menopause care →
We start with your history, symptoms and goals, arrange any tests you need, and agree a first plan.
We go through your results, weigh the options, and decide together on next steps.
We see you again, usually every three months, to check how you are going and adjust the plan as needed.
We are a private billing practice, so payment is due at your visit. Pensioners and children under 16 pay the discounted fee.
